Dosn't Heartland advertise 54/mile for the "green zone"?. For big carriers I think most max around .42 - .43.
When I was looking around earlier this year one company offered me .31 to start. This with almost 18yrs in the seat.

you got me beat, the best paying load we have goes 6 miles round trip and pays $240.00, takes about 4 hours and is a total pain in the ass to get in to where they load it

I heard that a new graduate can make $90,000 in the first year, and I know it's true because he said it in an e-mail

Thumbs up

Take for example my former employer, Superior Carriers, or any other good chemical tanker outfit that pays their drivers for about everything they do work related. At Superior the standard mileage rate is .415 Loaded/.34 Empty. Doesn't sound that great does it? When you consider that after being with them for 3 years of employment, my c.p.m. rate worked out to an average of around .52+/mile off of the hub, and roughly about .57/mile from just the paid mileages!!!
