Take for example my former employer, Superior Carriers, or any other good chemical tanker outfit that pays their drivers for about everything they do work related. At Superior the standard mileage rate is .415 Loaded/.34 Empty. Doesn't sound that great does it? When you consider that after being with them for 3 years of employment, my c.p.m. rate worked out to an average of around .52+/mile off of the hub, and roughly about .57/mile from just the paid mileages!!!
