So, during the the Transition class today there was a recruiter from a National Truck Drivers' School out of Jacksonville, FL. The school offers job placement and full costs will be covered through military tuition assistance--no effect on the GI Bill. So I figure that I'll go ahead and go through it to get the CDL. It will only be a few hundred (PA permit, $50 application fee, $75 drug test, $220 housing, license) out of my pocket so I figure that it can't hurt much to have it as a fall back if need be. I will still work on other options as well, but I think it is nice to be able keep as many options as I can open.
