I wouldn't give up my 18 for anything. But I could settle for a 13. I hate, absolutely HATE 10 speeds, however if forced to drive a 10 speed I would rather have a super 10.
Like stan said, 13 or 18 are your best bets for hills. If you do a lot of hills, an 18 or 13 with a 355 rear, is a nice setup. IF you do a lot of flat lands, an 18 or 13 with 336 is really nice for fuel economy, and can do most hills fairly decently.

The answers are there, But I do not know where. Optimistic and hopeful dreams, Are all I have so it seems. The future I do not know, So all I can do is take it slow. But I do know it will work out, So I wait and watch without a doubt.

well here is why I like my super 10. I am still in my first & only truck. it came with a super 10. it still has not had any work done to it.1.3 mil miles. it had the original clutch in it til over 1 mil miles. it shifts great still after over 14 years. I was told that the less speed a trans is the less parts there are to break down & that more life can be expected on them. read that in an article 8 years ago by a trans mechanic who specialized in rebuilding tranny's.
