. 911 is for emergencies only. It wastes a lot of time when people call my search and rescue distress line to let me know that my helicopter is really loud near their house or wanting to know what kind of safety equipment they need on their boat. There are non emergency lines to call for that information, use them.
The fact that you can't back up is not an emergency for police. I can guarantee the 911 operator sent the officer out there to harass you rather than assist you. Ron

Also, Kevin... I know a couple of drivers that have stopped to try to help in accidents while going around Kansas City, MO, and ending up getting a full DOT inspection. In a couple of cases, equipment fines were given. Those same drivers will never stop for an accident again. People might be burning alive, but they will not stop. Not anymore.

When I want to address several statements in one post, I have to delete everything before your name (including the beginning quote tag,) and the number string (and ] symbol) after it.... AND the ending quote tag. Then I usually add the word (said) after your name, hit the return button to push the text down, then highlight and delete what I don't want, while separating those lines that I DO want to "attack." Then, I go back to the first line I want to discuss, highlight it and click the quote icon on the line just above the text box. It's the one that looks like a page of a letter. That encloses the highlighted text in quotes. Then I leave a space after it, and type my rant. Then I move down to the next line or paragraph of text I want to attack, and do the same thing. Just keep moving the text down to allow room for what you want to say by positioning the cursor and using the enter key. Just don't forget to delete the END QUOTE TAG from the original post. It is much easier using I.E. but I still prefer my AOL. It is also much easier if you DON'T try doing this while sitting IN THE DARK!

the barricade was NOT a complete road closure barricade. It did NOT say "road closed." It said "closed to THRU traffic." That means that people with business ON THAT street/block/whatever.... are allowed entry. Even trucks making deliveries! [And ALL of you should KNOW that!]
