Default Truck Stops Plus 09 template....anybody hear of it??

When i made a post regarding Microsoft Streets and Trips, a fellow member gave me an email with a link with a truck stop/wal-mart template.

but this Truck Stops Plus 09 template seems to be much much better, and has everything from mom and pop truck stops to franchise stops with scales and blue beacons, etc.

not sure its worth the $40 price tag, but has anybody seen or used this template? what do u think???

c'mon guys. are you so dependent on your technology that you can't find a truckstop without it?

...............anyway, I down loaded it and used last week and it is pretty dam accurate.

It gives you the size of the lot and if it is a pay to park.

It loads kind of slow when you open it, but i'm usually not in a big hurry anyway.

LOL...sure....give me $40....ill be more than happy to take it. How does that saying go? Work smarter not harder? For your info...i have one of those 'fuel finder' books. i use that on a regular occasion. Dont be all upset because you're still trying to use a calculator. it is called a TOOL. you use bungie straps dont ya? why?? because it is easier than using alot of rope, yeah? Same thing.

whats funny, is that you have nothing else better to do than to follow me around in here, and comment on every little thing i have to say. its kind of flattering. thank you.

oh....check your PMs.....ill give you my address so you can send me my $40.

exactly. i have a truck stop book that i would use. it had all the truck stop amenities listed, the size of the lot, whether or not it had a CAT scale, or something other, and if there are or were any food places nearby.

Ya that is really sad... I see it all the time out there.

I got my self a GPS, I just add the places I stop when I stop there. Like the Flying-J in Pheonix with the painted toliet seats:lol: But I still have my paper back MAP in the truck with me, if there is any question

I remember the day when you used to have to have a map for every city and state! I Love Microsoft Streets and Trips (gps edition) alone with Maquest.com! It has only lead me wrong one time! Great Tools!!

Exactly....according to webster...

tool - 1 a: a handheld device that aids in accomplishing a task. I have the Motor Carriers Atlas, and have the 'fuel finder' paperback book as well.

I know 'back in the day', you didnt have those things, or because you want to drive 'old school' like it 'use to be' (even though you might not be old enough to even remember how it 'use to be') but then again, i dont think cell phones were even out in the late 70s. You got your dispatches or directions by pulling over and finding yourself a payphone. But yet, i'm willing to bet you use a cell phone.......oh, how drivers have to rely on technology..... <roll eyes>
