I currently have a class B and drive straight trucks for an expedite freight company. Fleet vehicles are usually manual 6 speeds. If you look at trucks built for owner operators, it will more than likely have an automatic or automated manual.

Well Wanderingson. I agree with you about the auto's. I have not had experience with them until now. And I hate them. Especially going up and down hills. It roars terrible and at times can't make up its' mind what gear to be in. On the other hand, I do think they have their place. (just not for me).

Every box truck i ever had to drive around in was a 5 or six speed ans usually shifted like a beat up box truck would shift like
