There may be a few. Do a search on here.

I personally think, that its best for a driver to learn/train with a van trailer first.
There is SO much more to know about pulling flats safely, its too much for a rookie to handle all at once, in my opinion.

Although I personally started out as a flatbedder straight from CDL school, I agree 100% with "wanderingson" in that there is a lot to know about flatbedding and for many, not ALL, it can be a bit overwhelming.

but, to answer your question, I am not aware of any company that will send you through school except Swift (they have a very small flatbed fleet). There used to be a few that would hire student grads but not sure if they're still around. I know the company that I started with used to hire student grads but have since changed their hiring policy to 2yrs experience required.

I seem to remember a couple that were on here that said TMC hired them right out of school. As far as the school part of it, I don't know how that was covered.

I was in Springfield, MO the other week, and went right by Prime. Looked like they were doing their own training right there. And, they do have flatbeds. Not that I would recommend going to Prime, but you have to make your own choice.

I know Swifties get a lot of Flack but i hear Their Flatbed Division is pretty good. There's a guy who came over to the Pumpkin and he said he was getting around 3000 a week at the swifty flatbed division but had to leave due to their new pet policy.. But i would check into Swift and Roehl has their own school and have a Flatbed Division... Try them too.. And damn one more is Maverick..
