I had an accident in Meade, KS. I had a vehicle turn in front of me on US 54 at 20 miles an hour to avoid rear ending them I tried to pass on the left.
If someone can recommend an attorney please leave a message

Were you charged in the accident? Your insurance company may know of a local attorney. You may also check with Road Law or one of the lawyer referral services. Another thing you may check is with the local court clerk. Ask them for a list of attorneys who regularly frequent their court. They cannot recommend an attorney but could offer several recommendations. You could then call each one until you found one with which you felt comfortable.

Hwy 54 in Meade, KS is 4 lane all the way from approx 1 mile east of limits thru to the very west edge of town. Speed limit is 35 mph from 1/2 mile east to west edge and 25 mph inbetween. How did this happen? But anyway... local atty are Terry Cordes 620-873-2133 and Louis Podrebarac 620-873-7411. Court House is 620-873-8750, county attorney is 620-873-8755 same address as Podrebarac, so he might be the county atty. Neither of these guys are a traffic lawyer, but maybe could help you out.
Outlying areas atty: Curt Campbell, Cimarron, Ks (about 35 mile north) 620-855-3414 have heard he is a go-getter, no personal experience. Linda Eckelman, Dodge City, Ks (about 40 mile NW) 620-225-0292 have heard she is very good, again, no personal experience. Hope this helps.
