Default Real Time resolutions, Stevens Transport.

I will start by saying that my time at Stevens transport was positive. I had to go home during week 4 1/2 or so because my father had a hart attack. I was told that all I needed to do was call when I was ready to get back driving. Well if you have ever delt with Stevens you know they never answer the phones. That brings me back to real Time Resolutions. I am looking for recent students who are in a situation mine. I was led to beleave that I would have the option to work off this debt and signed a contract to that affect. I have spoken with the FTC, BBB, And Texas atturney Genral's office and have found that one complaint is one thing BUT that if a certain number is recived at the same time that it go's to a class action complaint and then it gets looked into. I am looking for intrested partys who would like to get together and send a complaint. as far as I know no money is needed other then postage. My email is in my profile so if you live in Texas and were not fired for violating rules or safty issues feel free to contact me through my email. Thanks and have a safe happy day. One more thing, If you are about to go off to truck school, ANY truck driving school READ EVRY THING ALL OF IT BEFORE YOU SIGNE IT AND ASK ALLOT OF QUESTIONS. This is one of those things that will get you years down the road.

Is Texas an "at-will" employment state?

No. Not fired, Not laied off. Was in Lodi california I got a call saying that My father had had a hart attack. My trainer pointed the truck twords Dallas and got me home. When I was ready to go back No calls were returned by the driver maneger. I would prefer to drive for a year with the way the econimy the way it is. I am also looking for others in the same boat. I got in no trouble and had no accidents. Hell I would even wash trailers to pay it off but for more then a year no calls have been returned. The BBB sent me to the FTC and so on. Not trying to get out of anything just trying to get it resolved one way or the other. I will say it again, I had a positive time at stevens.

Still sound fishy. Why the no communication? They not returning calls doesn't count, how often to do or did you call? Understandable once in a while not getting through but if you continue to call should gt someone. How far are you from the terminal? If your close by did you go there?

Have they presented you with a bill for the schooling?

There may be no need for them to bill him unless he DID actually read everything and, therefore, NOT complete the page requesting all personal information including bank account number....Stevens loves to get you to sign the paperwork for a student loan (even if you've been through school previously) and then hit your bank account for automatic payments. That's why it is always imperative to read everything all the time. That's common sense anyway...but it's amazing how many people will just sign anything!

You've been calling on and off for a year, I could understand if you called every day, every hour for a year, but on and off doesn't sound too persistant to me like you want your job back.

I have a feeling pursuing this with a class action suit, is going to be a big waste of time. Have you written Stevens a certified letter, return receipt requested, and given them all your contact info? Somehow, it sounds like you just need to get someone to address this case, and get you back to the school, to complete your training.

I do not understand why you let this go so long. Even with a family emergency, and having to leave school a week or so before completion, I'd expect this was your responsibility to keep in contact with Stevens, and keep them updated. I can see a week or two leave of absence, but not beyond that.
