If there is a truck stop around you go out and find some drivers working for those companies and talk to them. cut through all the complaining and bitching and ask serious questions

It sounds like you want someone to make your decision for you. Only you will be able to answer the question of which company is best suited for your own personal needs. Do the research on each one, compare it to what you need as far as pay and home time, and go from there.

im not asking for someone to make thedecision for me, im the kind of person who thinks things through before making a decision. I ve talked with several people from different companies on the cb and on the net most of which are pretty happy where they are. im just nearing the poin where school is done and I don't want to make the wrong decision

He can rule both of them out. Both require atleast one year experience.

Bigpapa,
Have you tried COWAN or D.M. Bowman? Cowan is Baltimore based and Bowman is out of Williamsport. Also, not sure what you think of hand unload but DOT Foods has a location in Williamsport also.

It's too late, you should have been committed the minute you decided to become a truck driver :P :P

If you are sure that you have applied at all the companies that are available to you go ahead and make commitment.

1. Maverick
2. TMC
3. US EXPRESS (DID NOT KNOW THEY RAN FLATBED OR AT LEAST I have never seen one) Have two trainees that went to US and they are both happy there.

Yeah maverick is my first choice right now. I usx doesnt run flatbed, i was going to go there til i talked to quite a few of maverick drivers who have given me some good info and insight about the company. Plus I think the us xpress might get boring after a while driving from distribution center to a home depot dropping the trailer and picking up another one that might a little monotonous.

At least at maverick i'll learn regular flat bedding and doing glass. which will look better on the resume if i ever decide to change companies down the road.
