Too many companies going over to Volvo because of the engine choice? I know of a couple of companies that have gone over to Internationals and away from Freightliner because of the engine choices. I'm driving a Columbia with a Detroit, and they can keep it. Every month, the thing has to go in and get the EGR fixed again. And, just a couple of months ago, I read that the DD-15 (or something like that) was going to be the only thing for all of the trucks from Damliar Chrysler. I don't mind the Columbia, but I sure would like to have a REAL engine in it. I only have my engine repairs done at CAT engine shops never at dealers. I prefer Alban CAT but there are some other good ones as well.

From what I am reading. my guess is most of the newer trucks have more problems than the older ones. my 95' intl hase served me well. over 1.2 mil miles & still going strong. too many mandated changes required too soon has made .. i.m.o trucks needing more maitenance.
