Are these places good help ? Do they really try to work in your best interest ? Anybody had any dealings with a agency of this type. If so is this someone you would use through out your career in trucking. Is someone like this necessary if you do alot of research and use common sense.

These agencies get paid to put butts in the seats, so with that in mind do you really think they have your best interests at heart?

Transforce is a JOKE!!!!!!!!!!
Heres a normal Transforce scenerio. *You call, they tell you about really good jobs they got open in your area. *You then tell them you want that job. *They tell you to go get a new physical (YOU PAY!) *Then you go get a drug test (They pay, but expect to drive 20-40 miles from home for the test.) *You call them and tell them you got everything done. They tell you to make copies and fax in the new med card, long form also, drivers license, drug test paper. (This should cost you around $10.00 including copies made, multiple fax pages sent.) *Then they tell you they gotta talk to the employer and will call you back. *They dont call you back and you call them 2 days later. *At this point, then tell you you need to fill out a written application, as the one you filled out online isn't FMCSA OK'd. *They email you a 20+page application in a file, and tell you to fax it to them ASAP you open the file, print it out. *You fill out the 20+ page application, then realize this is gonna cost you around $20.00 to fax back to them assuming the place charges you around a buck a page. *You call them a day or to later to see how everything looks on the application. At this point, they tell you "Well everything looks good BUT the company just put a hold on us to hire anyone for the position I told you about." *You get highly pissed/discouraged/let down! Then you hear, "BUT GEE! I DO have a local job driving a box truck hauling soaps/chemicals to laundrymats. It pays 0.26cpm and $5.00/stop." EXCELLENT!! THAT SOUNDS SOOOOO MUCH BETTER than the tanker job that pays $18/hr, and is 4 day work week!!! Expect this scenerio to happen multiple times, or whenever they tell you about a job that sounds pretty decent. Transforce is THE DEVIL!!!

I'm quitting Ryder when you quit AIM.
Tomorrow is all OT. Bethel Park, Clairton, North Versailles, Leetsdale, Finleyville. It's gonna be a good day. I saw your buddy down at that Brusters on 88 again the other day. Did ya check out the fishing boat? Drop me a PM anytime. I'm ready to go when you are. Ok, I'm done hijacking the post. We shall return to the normally scheduled program. Transforce. The Devil In Disglies.

You should be able to do as well or better on your own rather than using a placement agency. There are a lot of carriers. Many of them are listed on this forum under "Company Listings." It doesn't have all of them but many of the larger carriers are listed.
