Default Swift training video (link) Map reading 101 at it's finest

video of Swift on us 129 NC/TN border, better known as the Tail of the Dragon. Great fun on 2 wheels, sure wouldn't want to do it on 18. Video is from last weekend, 7-19-2008. Wonder what their safety department will have to say about his one?

In all fairness to the driver, the road isn't marked that it is that bad before you reach a turnaround spot. Once you are on it, it is to late to do anything about it. At least he started to figure out stop halfway through the corners and let the traffic clear out, instead of running folks off the mountain.

interesting but it's actually been posted here several times over that past 2 years at least. the bad part is, if you look on the atlas on the Tennessee side, it's all truck route. I've never been down the road but we all have missed a turn and been down some very interesting roads. I for one have been by the bat cave and chimmney rock in nc on I64, instead of going east from ruth, nc I accidentally went west. actually scraped the side of the mountain while my nose was stuck out into oncoming traffic on a blind curve. by the time I got to hedersonville, nc and onto i-26 I defiantly thanked my maker for getting me through that streach of road. Other roads that come to mind is us 58 from lovers leap to I-77 in va and the streach of road going from us 395 south of sparks to lake tahoe. It's all pretty but left my seat drenched when I finaly found good road again, lol

I've done 58 from lovers leap to i-77 with a 53', was the most white knuckle experience of my life. When I finally got to the T/S there, I just jumped out of the truck and fell to my knees thanking god I survived .
