Default Homeowners Ins Umbrella for Truck Liability ??

Hi,

I've heard some horror stories about truck drivers being sued as a result of accidents, and losing their homes, and everything. The plaintiff sues the company AND the driver.

I know some drivers get riders on their homeowner insurance to cover this situation.

Any info on this would be appreciated. Of course, I'll ask my insurance company all about it too, but I want to get the real story here first.

Has anyone out there ever used this kind of insurance successfully? For some reason, I'm skeptical about it.

Any info greatly appreciated !

The information you get off the internet is worth less than you are paying for it.

The "real story" would come from someone who is licensed to sell insurance in your state. Any advice you get off here would be "anecdotal", not "the real story".

What applies to someone on here won't apply to you...but then again I guess you know that.

I get a lot of useful info from the net. The anecdotal info is often the most useful.
