Do you have a cell phone? Yeah, it was a very dumb move and I am not at all surprised you can't get another job. Something like this is more than just 'a mistake'. Common sense is something you are either born with or you aren't. Doing something like this shows you didn't get it at birth, and you aren't going to learn it. Do yourself and the general public a favor and go find another line of work. In my state, all unmarked overpasses must be at least 13' 6" of clearance. Was the overpass marked? How high is your truck? The one good thing is you'll never make this mistake again. You'll look for the height warning every time. If companies want six months accident free driving, then find any job where you drive even if it's delivering pizzas. Time will pass and the accident will fade into history. You weren't drunk or on drugs, you didn't kill or hurt anyone. I think the accident will be less of an obsitcale as time passes. |
