I will be the first to say I could care less what I had to do to put food on the table and keep my home. Mexicans can not help where they were born our the economy of their country. The last time I looked America stood for freedom and dreams what is wrong with offering it to another race of humans. Is that not what this country was based on since the inception? to late to change it now. so you better get used to it or at the very least you have to deal with it because they are not going any where and you can't do a damn thing about it....

Regarding Black/White/Other.....There's a great Bob Marley line where he dreams of the time "where the color of a man's skin has no more significance than the color of his eyes". Now I agree with that!!!!

However.....regarding Timberwolfs comments:

Sorry Timberwoldf, but I say no to our "come on in everybody" policy....now WE'RE FULL...go somewhere else. The freedoms that America was built on hold still hold true for us as citizens but we simply cannot let the whole world in the door anymore. Sorry for them but let them change their own country to match our doctrines and bill of rights....we cannot pay for the rest of the worlds problems by letting them into ours without sinking ourselves. Maybe we need to remove that saying from the Statue of Liberty about bring us your tired sick etc and replace it with a new sign: "See! Freedom works. Now go try it in your country"...

If that's the case then you shouldn't complain when companies outsource jobs to China and India. Mexicans send money back to Mexico. How does that help us?

 

If the Mexican that is sending $ back to Mexico is here LEGALLY...I don't have a beef with it other than to want to vote for those who will strengthen our borders and impose a transient worker temporary pass.

And funny about all the people complaining about outsourcing to China yet are first in line at Costco to buy that low priced flat panel TV that was made in China. Or buy the Jeep with the motor from Mexico and trans from Brazil (etc). Unfortunately it's a world economy now and there's no way to reverse that except adjust and live with the new global realities. Going back to the 1930's isolationism...won't work!

The BEST two things....1) speak with your pocketbook on what you choose to spend $ on and where it was made; 2) flex your American freedom and vote for those who will try to change the laws to what you want.

Personally, my big problem with McCain is he is all for NAFTA. This Nov is going to be a tough one for me :?
