Default Time zone

Whamo! You log the time zone your company ask you to! If you adjust your time zones to each city/state you are in it can cause false logs which will get you in trouble with DOT. "USUALLY" the time zone you are to log is the address/City & state that is located on your log sheet.

Changing time zones to benifiet you will only cause you "more" problems , TRUST ME. Wait just lost your attention when I said "trust me" because mommy told you to never to listen to a woman that says "trust me" but really. You must log one time zone and not switch to the time zone that you are currently in. It will be a big mess!

Just think of it this way: Your log auditor has 2,000 drivers and if they chose their own time zone they would not know which time zone you are logging and would false you like crazy. So staying on one time zone would help you and the log auditor (not to mention DOT when they come in for an internal dot audit).

Good luck: hope this helps make u understand why and all that.

Why not just go by the truck clock on the dash.... it knows no Time zones... :?:

Wait...

The problem with trucking is everyone is forced to make a buck and avoid any legal accountability at the same time...

What a paradox!

It boils down to Misery in a nutshell :!:

Enjoy the ride.... it the only choice

Because you have to log the time zone your company ask you to so you don't get false logs! If your company actually checks them (I hope they do).

You might check with your company and see which time zone you are to log before DOT gets ya and you pay money out of that pocket

Actually, you have to log whatever time zone your home terminal is in, not whatever time zone the company asks you to. The two are not necessarily the same.

Also, watch out for the "New Topic" and "Post Reply" buttons - they're right next to each other, and it's easy to hit the wrong one if you're not careful. I've done it before on other forums...
