Companies don't like job hoppers simply for one reason and it isn't the "15k" they spent on recruiting.

They know a job hopper will not take their BS and lies. He will not sit around a truck stop for 3 days without pay and stay out on the road for 6 weeks after he tells them he desires home time.

A job hopper is bad news for mega carriers with the need to spend money to recruit the naive to be warm bodies.

They want the mushroom drivers who will take everything they are shoveled and be afraid to stand up for themselves.

Picture the guy in Office Space that gets his office and stapler taken away. That is who the trucking companies are after and why they frown on job hopping. It shows you don't take crap and that is bad for them.

Fact is all of them are the same so if you leave one for another , you are still at square one.The only point at which the job hopping will cease is when you finally find a great hourly job or a job for a small family business that treats you as one of them. Until then job hopping serves no purpose but to cause you more job hopping.

Mainly, right now is not a good time to job hop (unless you have good word your company is folding). With the number of companies that are going down the grass my not always be greener on the other side. Sure, you may not be making as much per mile as the guys at XYZ (Jervic) but is your boss being finacialy aware and knows what it costs to stay in business and is paying drivers and buying new truck accordingly ?
