How long does it take for accidents to appear on your DAC?
Does your MVR show accidents or just tickets and dui's?

Get a copy of your current DAC/USIS file before you start confessing your sins to perspective employers...if it's not on your dac it don't matter , and you can also see what if any details are listed about past employer speration ...this knowledge can be the difference in getting more phine calls than you care to receive ,and just having your application tossed in the trash ,and hearing we are sorry no jobs for you...
And when a company pulls you DAC/USIS file it contains the following Driving work history Criminal history Motor vehicle record I think it's only up to 7yrs DAC/USIS report I'm not positive ...But get a copy so you can see exaclty where you stand .

It really does not matter if a company uses DAC or not. Every time you apply for a DOT sensitive job like as a truck driver companies are required by law to do a complete background check on you which amounts to the same thing as ordering a complete DAC report. Most companies also pull your MVR every year to make sure you have not had something show up since you were hired that you are not telling about since you the driver is required to report all accidents and traffic violations to your company in a timely manner.
