I asked myself what's the point here. I think the link to the video is a warning to us all. There are people getting into trucking today who can go ballistic. It doesn't take much. And you know the stress out OTR.

These kids have all kinds of issues. They are desperate for jobs, if they come out of the Army and there is no work except behind a wheel. The government should send these guys and gals to college to get graduate degrees and calm them down a little, read a little poetry, get a perspective on life, work out their awful past experiences. Instead they throw them out on their own, and many are committing suicide. Or going to truck school.

Watch your back.

You are right some of these kids have issues. But it isn't the government's responsibility to set them straight. The responsibility was the job of their parents. Just like the kids in today's school. Many parents don't teach them right from wrong. In fact many parents have very little contact with their kids. My wife sees it everyday in the middle school where she works. And she works in a upper-middle class school.

As to the government and education. G.I. can receive up to 36 months of education.
