Dart is one of those companies that MUST APPROVE any driver that pulls their loads and equipment. If she is leased onto Dart, you will have to go through Dart's orientation, physical, road test, and all. Their insurance comes into play, even if the lady has her own authority. Insurance on the trailer and cargo insurance is still Dart. They will also require a copy of your log pages. Even if they do not pay you directly.
And, I believe your experience will be varifiable.
Dart does have "small fleet owners" leased on, and ALL drivers must measure up to Dart's standards.
Watch out for the physical. Especially the hearing test. The doctor has a hand-held instrument to check your hearing. I guess it's approved, but if the technician does not know how to use it, you can have hearing that is just fine, but they can flunk you by pressing the probe into the bottom of your ear, blocking off the little hole and you don't hear a thing. Then you can expect it to cost you more than a hundred dollars plus to see an AUDIOLOGIST out of your own pocket.
Been there and done that. If you see Mike Griffin in Safety, tell him I said "HEY". He was doing part of the orientation. His IRISH ACCENT is also very easy to identify.
