HI!
I'm in my second week of school at AIT and am looking to get into tankers. Saw the other thread about Superior hiring rookies, but I'm in Phoenix (House is +2 hours from their terminal), so the chances of this newbee getting hired is even more iffy. Schneider doesn't have bulk ops here AFAIK. Worked 16 years at 2 good jobs in two different states, not a job hopper, would rather go straight to a place / job type to stay. Seems like all the tanker companies posted about are based east of the Mississippi. Already passed my HAZMAT & Tanker tests. Really don't like flatbed. (messing with tarps and trucks once a month at the old company yard was enough to tell it bites) Van sounds OK. I may go with Crete or MTC if nothing in tanker pans out. Werner has already approved me for pre-hire (your joke here) Anyone in Phoenix I can talk to? One of the teachers at the school mentioned there was a Aartman milk terminal in Buckeye that got sold to (???)

Read more about them at this link; http://www.classadrivers.com/phpBB2/...ic.php?t=32620. Decent company. I don't know enough about the Phoenix market anymore, to give anyone else. Harris is there, because ARCO/BP is their biggest customer. Your school should be able to get you Tank Transport names that will hire new drivers.

Thanks Orangetxguy, I'll give em a call.
BigDiesel, You read my mind! I really was thinking about starting a thread asking why so many of the worst coolie carriers are based in AZ, but don't want to be labeled a troll or whiner. |
