OK, so its Maverick.....good company for all I know. But what you need to do is "politely", and I do mean "politely" ask the recruiter "how many weeks do you expect we to go without an income". Here's where the problem lies: They are seeming to Pre-hire more students than they have trainers for. Not good. They should have a better handle on their hiring and needs. They should be better able to program you into their system. When should you start reviewing your options? Before your wife or creditors beat you in the head with a shovel....or when you have decided to not be someones junior lackey and wait patiently like a dog about to be tossed a biscuit. Its reality...because its YOUR wallet thats being impacted, not theirs. seems to me they really dont care about you one way or the other.

I went thru all the postings on this forum relating to Maverick, and the concensus is they keep their word..when they say 3 to 4 weeks, that's what it will be.....I was concerned about having to take a refresher course if Maverick took to long....how long out of school without getting a job would a person have to take a refresher course...or is a newbie turned down for jobs if out of school too long before getting his first job???

I would start looking now. Then after you get a couple of Pre-Hires then call the company and push. But, that's me.

Falcon Transport is in Michigan. They are a pretty good flatbed company and they will get you home on the weekends. If you run the weekends you get extra "cash" pay, plus your %, plus you can stay at motels, and you get earned time off.
