Pedals-how many and whatare they used for?

Mine has only two on either side. You push down on one while putting no pressure on the other, alternating pushing each pedal. The faster you push, the faster you go.

Some trucks come equipped with a foot switch to engage the engine brakes. The switches on the dash have to be on (of course) then the pedal has to be stepped on, engaging a micro switch, which turns the engine brake on. The ones I have seen like this are located far left, about where the dead pedal that is used as a foot rest usually is.

I hadn't considered the fact of (1) foot rest , (2) dimmer switch (3) ?? Steering column adjustment ,I thought it could be maybe an additional safety brake of some sort. ? --At least I didn't think it was the horn--- Being a novice I had been to another site or 2 and saw only 3, then another actually I forgot which KW,PBuilt or International where I saw a different setup. I am hopeful someday I can pass on information from this and other threads to others asking NOVICE questions.
