Default Driving a bus w/o passenger permit?

In Georgia, what would the penalty be for driving a bus while having Class A CDLs, but no passenger permit? Would I get a ticket, be arrested, etc.?

(The City has had me drive a short prison bus whenever it was broke down and had to be fixed; I was the only one on it, and no other passengers).

I'd call the highway patrol and ask them.

A passenger endorsment is not that difficult to get. As long as it's not going to be a school bus you're going to be driving. That gets a little more involved. I got mine when I first got my CDL. No idea what the fine might be. Ask the guys that could give you the ticket... They'd know.

If you are just driving the empty bus, no passengers as you stated, the class A CDL is all you need. The "P" endorsement is to carry 16 or more passengers.

I concur with the bald eagle, without passengers it isn't a bus, just a truck with a cargo of seats.

You will only need the passenger endorsement if you are going to drive the bus with passengers on board. Otherwise, as stated, you only need a class A or B CDL.

I don't know, I was told that even WITHOUT passengers I'd need the passenger endorsement.
