Some small to smaller mid size companies do issue cell phones, but most, if not all the bigger companies do not.

Thats just my luck it seems. I just signed a new contract with sprint for 2 years. Will these companies ever just give you a stipend for cell phone service of your choice??

thanks

so companies claim to reimburse their drivers for business related calls- but they usually want you to send them copies of the bills, they want to know how many minutes you have in your package, etc.....long and short of it....it's too much trouble & they usually don't follow through.

I used to furnish a cell phone to my drivers. I gave one to 3 drivers and every one of them abused it, one to the tune of more than $400. Now, every driver must furnish their own phone. If a driver can't afford $50/month for a cell phone, then he is working for the wrong company. I consider it a part of doing business. It is tax deductible if used in your business.

I'm on Sprint, and pay about 60 bucks a month for 1000 minutes w/yada yada. My company reimburses me 45 bucks a month.

My company reimburses at $25 per month plus Verizon offers a 12% corporate discount (or something like that).

So my standard $89 plan works out to $56 and change per month.

Works for me.

May even drop down a notch in plans as it seems me and the better half don't have 1400 minutes of things to say every month...

even if your company does not pay for it, it is tax deductible. people need to realixe how much money tax deductible stuff can save you over the year. Boots, gloves, sateilite radio, clothes, overnights. i had zero dollars out of my checks last year and only paid 1000 to sate and fed combined...i kept alot of MY money.
