Default drug screening and prescription drugs

i am currently on disability from work and taking a prescribed pain med. was applying for another job and they told me they arranged a prescreening drug test for me locally. i plan on working for them after my doctor releases me back to work. will this test be counted as a dirty test and go on my dac?

No. I just posted some about this on Trucker's Tips thread.
You need to list on the form they have you fill out what prescription you are taking, and any other medications you may be on.

You have nothing to worry about, long as you have a Doctor's prescription. If you are taking any over-the-counter medications, list them as well... especially if your Doctor approved them, or said they would be fine in helping you recover.

DOT UA tests are GC/MS Confirmations tests. Be sure this is the test they are using.

My Dad is prescribed what is mnormally a "no-no" drug and is required to have a copy of the script and a letter from the doctor stating why it is prescribed.

Proper documentation is the key. U should be fine, Chopper.

Keep it between you and your doc.

· Opioids (oxycodone, hydrocondone, Oxycontin, Tylox, Percocet, Vicodin, and many more) is a class of drugs that are semi-synthetic or synthetic pain relievers and as strong as opiate drugs. They have the same side effects and potential for abuse. It's a common misconception that drugs such as oxycodone and Oxycontin will show up in a test for opiates; they will not.

So unless you are on Heroin, morphine, or codeine your pee is clean.
