Default New Mexico POE procedures to change

Anyone that has entered NM is familiar with the current process. Pull out your tax ID permit and show it to the man in the little booth as you drive by and be on your marry way.

The good news. As of Jan 1, 2008 the information will be accessed via computer by running your V.I.N. so you will no longer have to show your permit as you drive by.

The bad news. You will now have to park and bring in your Truck registration and Proof of Insurance every time you drive into NM. Just like WY.
