since my CDL test is coming up.
-Whats the best gear to take turns? -can you take turns in any gear? -whats the thing to do when to make sure you hit your gears upshifting and downshifting -what should you do if you kill the truck in the middle of the road -best way to stop not so hard

The highest gear to make a turn in is the lowest gear on the high side.
If you can get down to the highest gear on the low side it would be even better. This is assuming you do not have to come to a complete stop and the turn is not real tight. The tighter the turn the lower gear you need to be in because the slower you need to go. For an "average" turn you need to be down to no more than 15 mph, 10 mph would be even better (and this is for a well balanced and well secured load in a van or reefer.

Rolling turns should be done no higher than the top gear on the low side. This allows you to be ready to accelerate when out of the turn, while being at a slow enough speed to be safe and still not lug the engine. Which will also take care of the worry about stalling out.

No fuel when upshifting and downshifting is Cutch Neutral...Rev Engine...Clutch Gear in that sequence.
If you stall the engine on the road, simply put on your 4 ways and try it again. To come to a smooth and complete stop, gently apply your brakes but firmly push in the clutch to the floor. GOOD LUCK TO YOU.
