Hello,

Ever since late 2004 I have wanted to go into the trucking industry. With finding this website I have read all the "good" and "Bad" or the trucking industry. Thinking to myself if all truckers in America quit there jobs for two weeks America would definitely come to a halt. I saying this I know Truckers are NOT consider HEROS and people these days really don't care about anyone but themselves far less a guy in a truck.


I had no idea that You could make a living out of trucking and had NO thought of the Men and Women who put there lives out on the road to deliver the goods. Anyways I still have a strong want to go into trucking I am right now working Two job to save up for my local CDL training school. So I still know that this is what I want to do. On the road if I do crash up I Kill myself instead of someone else! :cry: . I have more to share, but I don't what to bore anyone!

It is good to see someone who is willing to earn the money to pay for their schooling rather than borrow or obligate themselves for a year to a carrier for their training. Good luck to you. Most people don't seem to think about getting another job to buy something or pay for their training. They would rather depend on a government program or carrier to get their CDL.

And you are correct about people and their attitude concerning truck drivers. We often seem like an inconvenient necessity. Unfortunately, the necessity often gets forgotten. Trucking is probably the most critical profession in this country. There is no other profession that I can think of which could literally bring this country to a screeching halt, should we ever get organized. :?
