I think it depends on where you live. But when I got mine I was living near Atlanta. I did the TSA website way paid the 94.00 and went and got my fingerprints done. In 3 days I got my paper from TSA saying I was ok to get my Hazmat license. I know in GA you can go after you get your fingerprints and take the Hazmat test. But you cannot actually get it on your license till you get your paper back. I have talked to some and took them 2 months to get there paper back so I guess I got lucky. BOL to you

You should have it back within 30 days. When it comes time to renew your hazmat I would allow at least 60 days just so you will not risk losing your endorsement when you have to renew your CDL.

Thanks all, I talked to a supervisor at a local Conway terminal ( the Manager who actually accepts applications was out So I spoke to a supervisor, he said I needed Hzmt and double triples before I apply. Also I am not sure about experience because I was told thru the grapevine they wanted 1 yr but their internet site just says demonstrated experience . I asked the supervisor what that ment he said it ment a road test but no experience
is needed , ( IOW the job is open to a newbie. ). I will find out tomorrow for sure. Darin
