Well I dont and wont waste a dime on a cooler. It takes up too much precious space as it is. I have a small folding sterno stove so I can cook any meal I want on the catwalk of the truck. I buy canned foods and other items that dont need refrigeration. I have a 12vlt water heater for coffee or soups and carry water for refreshment. Probably the only thing that can go bad is bread.

If I want a good home cooked meal..........I'll wait til I get home

Ramen is about as nutritious as chicken skin. (Carbs and Fat)

Better to spend your money on something with nutritional value.

Hey guy, I work for sni too so I feel your pain!

I just went to walmart today and picked up low carb type foods. I spent about 60 dollars. I have no idea how long it'll last, I've never really kept track.

But the reason I'm replying is to tell you to buy two of the lunchbox ovens from the truckstop. (12v) I cook about 15 circle slices of kielbasa and half a can of vegatables in one and it is really JUST enough for one person. So if you plan on eating at the same time, that is my suggestion.

Things I buy
Canned soups, ravioli, etc.
Canned vegetables
Precooked Roasts (pork, chicken, beef) from the meat section (tyson or hormel)
cereal (I buy my milk in single servings at the t/s so I don't worry about spoilage)
cereal bars and fruit, triscuits, pepperoni and cheese
Steak strips from the same place you find those precooked roasts. They taste good cold too
chili

disposable plates, utensils, foil wraps

And I do recommend the stove instead of the slowcooker. It seems to do a faster and better job. And it steams the food instead of stewing it.

If youre anything like me, youre afraid to go offroad looking for a walmart that "might" let trucks in or one where you won't get stuck in its "concrete jungle" of medians and trees. So did someone say there was a list of truckerfriendly walmarts?
Or did someone have a list of walmarts that are w/in walking distance of t/s?

And none of this will really help until you grab another cooler. BOL

Two Super Wally-worlds that are easy for trucks:

1. At exit 63 on I-70 in Vandalia, IL.... that one has dedicated truck/rv parking out front.

2. At Marianna, FL....you park in the Pilot T/S parking lot and the Wally-world is right next door....

If I can remember more..... I'll add them.

Also, Beloit, WI is near the Pilot and you can park over there easily at night.

I75 exit 29, Corbin Kentucky at the Pilot is a super WM within an easy walk.

The state route in Texas that runs from Amarillo down to Ft Worth (289?) you come across Childress, TX with dedicated truck parking at the super WM.

Lamar, MO which is on state route 71 north from the Joplin / Carthage area up to Kansas City has a super WM with a truck stop next door, like Marianna.

So you learned ramen was one of the four food groups in first grade? Wow you must have grown up poor.

I didnt learn it till college cause I was always spending my money on partying instead of food with "nutritional value"

Your parents must have been hard core partyers themselves, feeding a 1st grader ramen and telling him its part of the four food groups. Spending all their money on crack and abortions instead of food for their kid. (I guess they decided on crack instead of the abortion when your mom got pregnant with you- God knows they regretted that decision)

Glad to see you changed your avatar after I told you to though. Maybe you arent as dumb as you seem.
