As with most laws lawmakers attempt to write laws that will benefit certain group(s). Then to get that law passed it gets modified my other lawmakers to meet what they think meets some other group(s). Do this a few times and you have a mess. Now compound this by 50 and look what a mess you really have.

In almost all situations, carrying a "reasonably" sized knife for the preformance of your job is allowed.

The thing to rememeber is, that if you are questioned about why you are carrying a knife, you should say it is for your job. Explain why you need it for your job.
It is not for defense or protection which would change it from a work tool to a weapon.

Ditto. Come to think of it I've never carried a knife, other than a work knife. My pistol requires I don't need to get up close and personal should I need to use it.

The only downside is trying to cut open a pallet with a .45........ :wink:
