You WILL have your CDL suspended for 60 days. You will lose 2 months of pay, then you can go back to driving and STILL have to be real carefull.
I'm not SURE, but I THINK you will still be able to drive your P.O.V., as long as you have not exceeded the 12 points or whatever your state requires.
But, YES.... you are looking at it worse than need be. The conviction is not even on your record yet.... why TELL anyone about it? Your company will only pull your MVR about once or twice a year AFTER you are employed. By then.... if you have a good record with them, they will not be too concerned.
Never, Never, NEVER.... volunteer information that the company can't get access to on their own!!!
ALSO..... got to court on this violation, and TRY (maybe with the help of a lawyer or public defender) to get it reduced to a nonmoving violation. Since you didn't HAVE your CDL yet at the time, it CAN be reduced. If so, it won't even matter!
As a professional driver, you must ALWAYS try to fight or reduce a ticket, if you can. And did I say NEVER volunteer info that you don't HAVE to (without lying)????
