Wanting to get some opinions on this situation. Here is my story: Three years ago I was arrested for sexual assault. Was sentenced to 10 years in prison. All through this incidence I was innocent. Finally, thanks to DNA testing,I was cleared of all charges and the guilty person was arrested.I did spend 3 years in prison. I have all the paperwork, from my lawyer, stating what happened and that all charges had been dropped against me. Should I have any problems getting a driving job? My driving record is clear. This is my first time to have any brush with the law.FYI I am sueing for wrongful imprisonment. Any info will be a great help.Am basically wanting to start a new life.

Try applying to companies and see what happens. Also a letter from the courts, not your attorney would probably help. You need state/county proof that the charges were dropped.

It would be best to try and get it expunged. There will still be a record, at this point, but as long as the paperwork is in order I don't think it will cause you a problem. You might want to address your concerns to a couple of the recruiters on the board, such as Twilight Flyer or Sheepdancer.
