You seriously think the classic's(any fld) has a sharp interior???wow, I mean seriously? Green gauges and hard black/grey non contoured abs plastic. They don't even illuminate have the dash not even the climate control.

I dont mean to be derailing the post alittle, but I just had to chime in about the Classic.
I think Freightliner has keep the Classic because alot of drivers still prefer the "classic" appearance from the 70's, and it gives them at least 1 "large car" in their model line to compete with Pete, International, KW,Western Star. Yeah, the interior is a little dated, they could have upgraded it without changing the overall style of the model.
BTW the climate control does backlight, but the light and engine fan switches do not. (Cant figure that one)
Im on my 3rd Classic I really like it alot, hoping for a 4th in the next couple of months.
I have heard Freightliner is discontinuing the Classic in the next couple years, as well as the Century and Columbia. Keeping the Coronado and the new Cascadia.

I drive an '07 Coronado and I agree with the guys who have complained about rattles etc...
The biggest problem I have with mine is wheel hub seals going out. My truck has less than 50k on it and so far I have had to replace two sets of front seals (soon to be three, I just noticed they are leaking again!) and one set of drive wheel seals.
I had one of the drives fixed yesterday and the mechanic was a bit suprised to see that a gasket had NEVER been installed at the factory!!!
What quality conrol Freightliner ????

My boss is getting ready to buy a couple of new trucks and the lack of quality control is a big factor in his decision not to buy any more Freightliners....
