Glider kits
Was just knocking around on the Truck Paper website this afternoon and observed several trucks (new) that were advertised as Glider Kits, meaning the body, chassis, and interior of the trucks were new but had rebuilt engines and transmissions in them. Even though they had warranties with them wonder if these would be a good deal for somebody wanting a new truck but not wanting to pay the new truck price? 8)

If you get a rolling glider everything is there new except the engine and transmission. A straight glider leaves off the rears, rear suspension, driveshafts, etc etc. Rolling glider = good deal. Glider = too many old and rebuilt parts.

The ones I saw were rolling glider kits with rebuilt engines and transmissions and had warranties. Everything else was new. Doesn't seem like too bad a deal. 8)

Sure, it's www.truckpaper.com and it's under Freightliner Coronado trucks. I've seen some other makes that advertise rolling glider kits as well. 8)

Not really worth it when you can have a 2005 for the same price. Good idea though, The price doesn't seem worth it to me though.

Fitzgerald Glider Kits was the one featured in a recent edition of truckpaper.
