With chemical (liquid bulk) tankers....you use a "strapping chart"....that gives gallons per inch through the depth of the tank allowing for curvature. They know the weight per gallon of their product. Hopefully they will. Other than that, we sometimes are loaded sitting on a scale, or scale in empty and get the tare weight, then scale loaded to get the gross and net for the product.
Axles are fixed, but the product is "self-leveling" 8)
