No.

You can only deliver loads across the border on a Canadian CDL. Canadian drivers cannot driver interstate.

So in a nutshell. If you want a CDL, you will have to go to a CDL school to get your Class A.

You can, however, change a Canadian Class 1 for a US CDL A, provided, ofcourse, that you have the proper immigration / residency clearances and permits. This might be different from state to state though. When I checked with DMV in Pennsylvania, they said that it could be done.

hey am an immigrant you have to have a resident permit either permanent resident of temporally resident to apply for a CDL A lic. with your driving experience you could pick up a manual from a state of your choice read it do the written test pass it and you could rent a truck with a trailer then go take the test. and you be fine. but here are down side of it most company will want to hire some one from a school or has a diploma from a CDL school, also you most be legal in the state to be able to apply for the CDL lic.

That doesn't seem likely. I expect it would be all or nothing, but I don't know anything for a fact.

I'd contact the DMV (Department or Division of Motor Vehicles, variously) in whatever state you plan to emigrate to. You'll have to get a CDL from one (and only one) particular state, and it seems likely that the rules for what could transfer how would vary from state to state.

Or maybe not. It might be a DHS/INS/federal thing.

Good luck!
