Default Ok age old question..........

Do I go team or solo? I am new, going to go through school or co sponsored training. What is my best bet. Ok with time out on the road, ok with the company. Here are my concerns:

1. Smelly dude
2. Thieving dude
3. Wrecking dude

I would assume all vary legit concerns. How real are they? Should I just do it by myself? I just dont want to run regional NY, NJ NE. Yuk!!

Messy dude
loud music while you are sleeping dude
cell phone dude griping with wife/or girlfriend while you ...try...to sleep

you have 2 trust the other guy driving ...or you will not sleep at all when you are in the bunk and he is driving .

The best team situation would be a husband & wife team, that way all the money goes into the same pot and you already know how to get along with each other. Next probally would be a good friend. Again, you already know how to get along as well as the other persons habits like smoking, taste in music, etc. If you don't already have a partner, then I would go the solo route.

If you really want to team and don't have a partner, you might also want to "fill out" a few people in your training class. I definitely would'nt want a company to assign me someone that I have never meet at random.

Of your 3 concerns: The Wrecking Dude should be #1 on your list.
The other 2 are a lot easier to LIVE with.

You also forgot:
1.Dude who pees in bottle (while driving)and dribbles all over the floor.
2.Dude who craps his chino's and throws them in the storage nooks.
3.Dude who hocks your stuff and gets a hooker, and then uses your bunk as a petri dish.

In all honesty,..putting all the bad experiences aside (and they all happened, I swear), the best teaming situation is a Husband/Wife team,..other than that you are just running the wheels off the truck and making the same money a solo driver would,... if you can sleep in a moving vehicle,..teams work also.

go solo my friend. I did team right out of the gate. Didnt take long for to get the hell out of the truck when he wreaked while I was trying to sleep. I spent two weeks prior to that wreak praying he wouldnt wreak. Needless to say I did not sleep much. However with that said. I think it really depends on the co-driver. The problem is, how do you know how the person will be on the road just by meeting them? Just remember your first date and then how it really turned out a week later when you find out she doesnt use toilet paper or wash her hands, or the best one of coarse is the never ending bitching. Wait that was my co-driver.

Solo my friend.... SOLO. then team later when you find someone you can trust and has the same goals. And sleeping when the truck is moving bites ass big time.

Take it easy and good luck.
