wow ... I love all these ideas and help ... it really makes a person stop and think doesn't it. :? .... Lucky for me I haven't had to give out my license number to any shippers ... also lucky for me number is different from my s.s. number. .... I fell so violated ... like someone has a part of me and won't give it back :cry:

Somebody might have your DL# but how exactly does this affect your Checking account?

Perhaps we need to go back to using cash rather than debit and credit cards. There are too many holes in the security systems we use which are supposed to be secure.

yooper ... the way I found out was .... when I went to pay for my items ... my checking acct. cleared basicly, but when they put my license number in... it flagged my acct.. So they refused my check .........

I've already spoken to my bank and they put a high security flag on my acct ... so anything out of the norm they will contact me .... It's just that this CDL is something I've had for over 15yrs now ... and it upsets me that someone put a blimish against something that belongs to me.
