Default fireflies and the windshield

ok all you truckers that have been driving for awhile i've got a question
the other night i was driving accross Nebraska and seen a bunch of fireflies ... now if one of these should hit my windshield while i'm do 70 MPH and when it's got it's light on ... would it go out like a light bulb (POP)? or slowly glow to a dim before going out.

Most of the time, they slowly dim. I just throw some Floyd on and enjoy the light show.

rickll, I don't want to be rude, but you mind shrinking your picture a little? If you can thanks in advanced.

Wanna see something really cool? After you hit a few (and they're still glowing), turn on your wipers

I remember heading north towards Lansing, MI a couple-of-years back and ran into a swarm of fireflies--all those twinkling lights--looked like Christmas in July....And they sure looked purdy on the windshield.

Hit em and you're going to have a green glow for awhile.
When you get to western Nebraska in the Spring near the North Platte I guarantee you don't have enough Windshield Fluid in your truck because of all the Bugs.
