So I took my DMV CDL test last Sunday and passed. I went Monday and had my foto taken and gave them my autograph and received my official CDL License. Wooo hooo! I graduated at the top of the class at my Community College CDL course and all is well with the world........
so far. I am heading up to Green Bay, WI mid-July for my orientation and training with SNI. And I'm excited, scared, anxious, and everything in between! I really hope things go well and I get the full acceptance of employement with SNI after all the testing and training and such. Anyone here been thru training recently at the GB training site? Any tips or pointers or otherwise helpful information you have to offer? Thanks!

They told me to bring $200.00 for food, not sure if they are still telling you that.
1. Bring canned foods and stuff you can heat in microwaves and save you some $$, One of the hotels has a real bad breakfast and the other has a waffle maker that has real good breakfasts...You will be close to a Hardees,Dennys mexican and chinese restuarant which can be expensive There is a dollar store across the street you can stock up on goodies. 2.If you order out try Erberts and Gerberts Subs they deliver to your hotel about 10 minutes after u order 3. When you are out driving in the truck your trainer will take you to the local Walmart if you ask 4. There was an incident when a roomate who was sent home went to the hotel to get his stuff (while the other roomate was in class)and he stole some belongings so watch what you leave in your room  5. They also sent a person home who kept falling asleep in class so get plenty of rest Last but not least....They will give all the people with CDL's a test on that sat morning, don't get discouraged if you dont pass. Our group had 2 out of 16 pass(it happen to be the only two women in the whole group) they (women)ended up staying only 3 days and the rest of us stayed 2 weeks. Only one of the remaining 14 of us with CDL's was sent home because he could not shift. Our group had 80 people to start and ended up with about 51 passing. You are already ahead of the crowd anyway because you have a CDL. Have fun up there and Good luck

Thanks ohiomowhawk.
From what I've been told SNI will be paying for "two meals a day", do you think that includes the hotel breakfast and lunch only? I'll be calling my recruiter next week for a call check and to make sure all my paperwork is in order so I'll be sure to add that to the list of things to ask. Did you leave training to go right out with a trainer or did you have to go back home and wait? I've been told it can go either way, but since you went thru at the GB facility I figured you might have a better clue. I don't care either way, but it'd be nice to be prepared with the things I bring like clothes and such. I'm hoping my recent training will put me ahead of the curve when I get to GB and allow me to ace the first day driving test. I shifted well by the end of my training and I made great marks on my actual CDL licensing test. So I'm hopeful that I'll make it okay, but I have more realistic expectations of being in GB for two weeks! Any other input out there?
