Default Maybe the stoopidest question ever posted:

I got my Class A driving an F750 with a trailer. The truck was an automatic. Am I limited now to only driving automatics?

not at all, but did that truck have air brakes? I believe you have to take a test in a vehicle with air brakes to be licencsed for it.

yes. class A is airbrake by default I believe. in other words, you have to test with air brakes.

Per the California Dept. of Motor Vehicles Handbook http://www.dmv.ca.gov/pubs/cdl_htm/sec5_a.htm#air says
If the vehicle you use for your driving test does not have these components, your vehicle will not be considered as having an air brake system and you will have a "No Air Brakes" restriction on your CDL.

yes. you can get a class B without airbrakes, but I am pretty sure that there is no such thing as a class A without.

but what do I know? hehe. i still am not sure if I can drive a stick. sorry shanhamm, but I'm still not convinced. in fact, since this airbrake deal has a "No Air Brakes" restriction, I wonder if I could have a "No Manual Transmission" restriction... and I wonder how one would find this out?

If you are in CA and test with an auto you are restricted to auto only. On the front of your license where it says restrictions there should be a number. That number is a code for the type of restriction you have. If there is no number there, than maybe you got lucky.

You can drive your everyday pickup truck if it is for hire, if you are pulling a trailer registered for more than #10,000 pounds. That would be a Class A without air brakes..

Ok, I'm a dumb ass. I just looked at the back of my liscence and it clearly spells out,

"64. CLASS A/B - LIMITED TO VEHICLE WITH AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION."

Never looked at the back before, LOL.

Well, pretty soon, you could find yourself moving movie studio equipment here to Texas. Hollywood is moving to Texas. As we speak, a $1.5 BILLION dollar movie studio is being built up in the Austin area, and will be the largest movie studio in the worls. Another one is getting under way east of Austin.

Sandra Bulllock's movie studio, which is located at the old City of Austin Airport, was designed to acomodate three to five projets; they are now operating seven different projects here. It has been phenominally successful.

Want to learn more about winning small supporting roles in movies that can pay some pretty decent dinero??

I am NOT talking aout movie "Extras"
