Flatbed, company driver only now. They fired all their owner operators with 24 hours or less notice. Personally that was enough to make us shy of it.
They require a minimum of 2 years experience is what my husband was told, although I hear that sometimes they work around that for the right person.

Westar is a flatbed company. They run late model Petes, KWs, and Volvo. They mainly run southwest, midwest. Their drivers get home on a weekly basis. Pretty good benefits.

I've been driving for them since the first of the year and have no problems with them whatsoever. Very driver oriented, I have been home every weekend and usually sleep at home at least one night each week (live in WF) Good equipment and they maintain it well.
Late June we have a LARGE contract in Louisiana, Alabama and Mississippi, they claim we will go for 2 - 3 weeks at a time and make $1500 - $1800 a week while there. Should be 35 - 40 trucks at at time on this project, this in addition to what we already are running should give everyone a chance to make some good $$$ over the next year, especially during the slow time this winter.
