Honestly......900 per week is probably a little high for that regional. Not to say, we dont have drivers on it who make that or more on it. However the average pay on that run is more like 750-800 gross. Just not a lot of miles on that run. 2000-2200. I will use the recruiter cliche here ( although it is true) The average is 750-800 gross per week, if you are an above average driver, you will make more.
I hope I didnt talk you out of it....however I feel like I have to be honest on these boards. There are tons of people out here who would love to see me busted in a lie.... It is a good job, great benefits...its just not OTR type pay. Yes, it will get you home every weekend for at least 36 hours.

Many of J.B Hunt's dedicated routes listed on their website look halfway decent: http://www.jbhunt.com/careers/jbhunt...SearchJobs.htm

I had a JB recruiter call today and offer me a dedicated run in NY for $55,000/year. I have no idea how true that was but he seemed nice enough. 8)

GoldiesPlating,
If I were you I'd try tracking down a few JB driver's to get their side of the story before signing on. I plan on joining up with them in the future, but after a long family discussion last night, my family really needs me home right now when the kids are so young. Everyone gets too stressed out when I'm away. The kids worry that I won't come back, or that I'll get in an accident or something. To them, when Daddy's gone for more than a couple of days... it seems like forever! So I've decided to try to find something local even if the pay is menial...for a while anyway. Just need the benifits right now though. Good Luck! Watcher

If you are talking about the family dollar run, yes thats the average, about 55 grand a year. However you truly earn that money on that job. A lot of sweat involved. FYI....our top driver in the company last year was on the family dollar account in NY....he made a either a little over 93k last year or a little over 98k....honestly, I cant remember and dont have the email anymore. Still, he made "a bunch". When I asked his fleet manager how he did it, his fleet manager just said, "he is the best employee Ive ever seen". Also Goldies, I just saw something in NY city....Brooklyn.....Local job, home every night, about 51 K a year. You must have some experience delivering in NY city. This job actually has an interview with the manager over that account before we set someone up for orienation so you know exactly what the job and pay is before you go. I need 1 driver, it will probably fill pretty quick......INTERESTED? If so, call quick....Craig 888-524-8687 |
