Hi, I'm about to attend a CDL class and am trying to find out how difficult it will be to obtain a job with no verifiable employment history.I've had 2 jobs over the last 6 years or so the first one I worked at for about 2 years until the company went of business the owners have since moved to California and I can't locate any contact information for them. The second job I had for a little over 4years until a coworker and my boss had a falling out without getting into to much detail he's pissed at the world and I'm not sure he will even verify my employment with him. :x
I know it wouldn't be a problem with w-2's but both jobs were under the table the only job I've had that wasn't under the table was when I was 16 and only worked there for a few months. So does anyone know if it would be difficult to obtain employment or am I completely screwed? Thanks

If you have three of four people who knew what you were doing and where you were working for the past several years, have 'em write letters in your support, and get the letters notarized.
Most trucking companies accept those as equal to several years of W-2s. A work history is just part of a background check which are more important since 9/11. BOL |
