I work for a furniture manufacturer. And I see company trucks all the time that do not belong to freight companies. Look around in your area (read the name on the trucks) and I'll bet you can find lots of opportunity.

Yep; Big time. Its not just drivers..blue collar jobs in general here are easy to get. I moved here on a monday and was hired for dock-to-driver by wed.

Some of the construction related stuff (Cement, Dirt, etc) has cooled from being red hot last year.

But all the other local gigs like LTL, Trash, Foodservice etc are still strong.

what would i say a beginner pay is ???? pay that wont be enough to pay all your bills every month. pay that will make you wish you were a beginner at something else. lol. :lol: hey i'm just joking here. it depends on where you live, where you drive. co, e.t.c. good luck..
