Default Picture taken if you drive past scale? With EZ Pass?

I had the green light to pass a scale here in Ohio the other night, as I drove past I noticed a bright flash coming from somewhere. I was not pulled over or anything but just curious if they snap pictures of trucks passing scales...I could not pin point where the flash came from but it was right as I passed the scale.

If there was a truck on the scale it is possible the scale master may have turned on a flood light for just a second. Some scales have them right next to the scale so the LEO can make sure the wheels are positioned correctly or to look for problems.

When you by-pass scales with pre-pass and ez-pass, there are three live cameras looking at you, and one infrared-still photo camera...at most scales. It is entirely possible you saw the flash of the still camera if you were passing the scale at twilight, or it was darker than normal.

I have seen the flash from the camera at the AR scales, NB 30 at Hope, several times.

It doesn't matter anyway.... you have an electronic footprint as you pass by anyway.... If you want to have a really good picture....wear an "Elvis" mask and wig......

some of the scales have a still photo camera on the first ez-pass pole,

i was inside when thay call a driver in and gave him a ticket for no seatbelt.. he asked what thay were talking about and the LEO turned the montor around and showed him a pic of him in this truck ON the road with no seatbelt on..!
