Man! I haven't been on a harvest crew in 20+ years. We never had semis, though. We had trailers that were specifically made for combines. We would haul the head in the bed of the truck and pull the combine. Not sure how they do it with semis.

Most ag states have harvester-friendly laws. Shouldn't be much of a problem. If I wasn't married with kids I'd go on harvest again. I miss it.

As far as inexperienced drivers and harvest crews go, harvest crews, being seasonal, are always hard up for drivers. If you've got a CDL and are breathing, you can get a job.
